The Professional

Here’s a fun (little) series I received in February 2003. Usually, I do something, or observe something that insinuates emails, and mass stupidity on the part of server patrons; but not this time. This time I had to do nothing more then check my email one day in order to observe the rampant stupidity that flows through society. So, if you’re in for a quick read and a quick chuckle, read along:

Hello, I am trying to make something tribes wide. It'll be something that will be made up of different mods, and will have ladders, forums, a site, servers... etc. We need peope to help support this, people with good website skills and could possibly host servers. We would appreciate your help.. Could you help with this?

I had enough up my sleeve at the time, and didn't have any more then a email's worth to devote to dealing with someone that effectively wanted to start a small business, but lacked any sort of professional edge. That and I figured I could always use more material for my email humor section.

You mean like people that proofread their emails before sending them, or people that have at least some semblance of a professional air about them?

Evidently he has the cognitive problem solving level, and sarcastic decoder of a five year old.

Huh? No, I mean this is something almost like TWL or OGL.

Stupid people I can deal with. But people SO stupid that they can't pick up on straightforward sarcasm is a bit much for even me.

Wow....

Sorry, definately not interested.

It all ended with one last pitch.

Why don't you want to try to start something large like this?

Having given my response, I may have never gotten around to replying. If I did, it probably resembled a common reply to a conversation I thought was dead. Something along the line of "No."

Either way, it's another simple reference of simple stupidity. Let's hope he gives up on his efforts of obtaining a professional position in life, and focuses on things a bit more in his line of work: drooling.
